Dr. Walker obtained his BA & MA in Natural Sciences and King’s College, Cambridge with a Major in Organic Chemistry.
Followed by a Ph.D. at Rice University, Houston, Tx. working with Ron Parry in Biosynthesis.
After working at The National Center for Toxicological Research, a branch of the FDA, Dr. Walker worked at Abbott Laboratories in Chicago and Pharmacia and Upjohn in Michigan before joining Kaneka Corporation in NYC to run their North American Fine Chemicals business where he takes care of Commercial, Development and biopharmaceutical Marketing & Business Development. He established Kaneka’s Center of Excellence for Business Development & Open Innovation and is responsible for Kaneka’s Life Science Business Development and Marketing at the new Kaneka US Innovation Center on the West Coast.
